Celebrating 10 Years of Hands On Care
Today is a special day. The Hands on Care team is beyond happy to announce that today (4th April 2021) marks 10 years of excellent personal care provided by Hands on Care. That’s right, it’s our 10-year anniversary.
Since we began helping people in need of care a decade ago, we’ve gone from 1 member of staff, to a whopping 65, and we’re very excited to see what the future holds! Read on to learn more about the premium supplier of personal care in Telford and Shrewsbury.
Our Beginnings…
Founded by Mandy Hands (as pictured below holding our anniversary celebration balloons), an experienced Healthcare Manager and graduate of the University of Wolverhampton in 2011, Mandy, began the business single handily. Within the first two years, Hands on Care had employed fifteen members of staff, and now we employ 65 – an incredible 333% growth in team members!
Over the last decade, Mandy has witnessed changes within the care industry including the introduction of the 2014 Care Act and the 2018 Data Protection Act. Both have changed the way that care providers are regulated, and enabled people to choose to be cared for at home for longer – a benefit to both care receivers and care providers such as Hands on Care.
Hands on Care has had to overcome numerous changes and challenges over the years, however, time and time again, the team has risen to occasion and we hope to do so for the foreseeable future.
Looking To The Future…
Fast forward to the present day and Mandy is looking forward to growing Hands on Care further, with plans to invest in additional premises in Telford from which the Hands on Care team will continue to cover the Telford, Shrewsbury, South Staffordshire and Wolverhampton areas. Commenting on the growth of the business, and her plans for the next 10 years, Mandy Hands, Founder and Registered Manager at said;
